New Bikes

With the weather being a bit cooler, it's the perfect time to check out Dogwood Junction's latest additions.
You can now rent a Terra Tandum Trike and spend an evening biking through our fun Downtown.
Dogwood Junction has a fridge full of cool drinks, so head on down and take a ride!

A Surrey Ride

Finally, I took a surrey ride!
It was really quite fun!
Sure there was the one time I wasn't sure we were going to make it up the hill, but I remembered to change gears and things ended up just fine.
Renting from Dogwood Junction was the perfect way to show my mom, visiting from out-of-town, just how cute our Downtown really is.

Head Downtown for your ride...and then swing by Fratelli's for some gelato...because you'll have earned it.  :-)

Girls' Night Out

Last Thursday was Girls' Night Out in Downtown Siloam Springs.
And if you didn't attend, you MISSED OUT!
I was there for a bit, but there were things I missed out on as well.
So...heads up.  Pay attention to when the next Girls' Night Out takes place and ATTEND!

Here are a few of the things I missed...and thanks to facebook, I know what I missed.

mine.
It's a customized bath and body line made just for you!  mine. was demonstrating their products at Ehrlich Motorwerks.
Siloam Flowers and Gifts had cheese!  I love cheese.  I'm sad I missed the cheese.
And Creative Corner on Broadway had door prizes.  I happen to enjoy winning free things.
Bummer for me!
I'm paying attention to when the next event takes place.

Ending on a happy note...I did take a surrey ride at Dogwood Junction.  Stay tuned for pictures.

Dogwood Junction moved!

Dogwood Junction has changed locations.  They're now located down around the corner near Twin Springs Park.
We saw the open sign on the other day, so we headed in!
I'm so glad we did!  We had a wonderful time!
My boys are saving for kites.  We happily watched a demo for the Sting Ray Super Flyer!
Then we were invited to the back to check out the super huge kite!  This is only half of the kite.  We'd love to see this fly someday.
As we were saying our goodbyes and figuring out how much money the boys still needed to save, we were told about Dogwood Junction's collaboration with the Cafe on Broadway.

Rent a bike at Dogwood Junction while perusing the Cafe on Broadway's menu.  Pay for your bike rental and meal right there at Dogwood Junction.  They'll throw in a picnic basket and blanket for you to use.  Hop on your bike, and head north up Broadway Street...
...to the Cafe on Broadway!
The wonderful folks at the Cafe will be watching for you.
Stop your bike (but no need to hop off), and the Cafe will run out with your meal and place it in the picnic basket.
Such an easy way to enjoy a delightful spring evening in Downtown Siloam Springs.
Bike down and around the trails until you find a perfect spot to spread your blanket and eat your salad or sandwich.  I love this idea and plan to take advantage of it soon!

The Duggars came to town!

The other day I heard through the grapevine that the Duggars had been spotted in our very own Downtown filming an episode for their television show on TLC.

I must say I shamelessly headed Downtown to do a little celebrity stalking.  :-)

There they were!  The Duggar family had rented bikes from Downtown's latest shop Dogwood Junction and were headed out for a ride on Siloam Springs beautiful trails.
Knowing they'd be back soon, I headed to The Cafe on Broadway for a cold drink while I waited.
My wait paid off, and before I knew it I was in line for a picture with mama Michelle Duggar!
You never know what might happen Downtown!
I have no idea when the episode will air.  If you happen to find out, please let us know.

I'll see you Downtown!
