Second Saturday Recap

Also, I received an e-mail from Beacon Hill Farms with a list of what they will be bringing to the Farmer's Market this week: potatoes, squash, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatillos, peppers, green beans, onions, garlic, lettuce mix, beets, basil, sage, chamomile, dill, kale, leeks, fennel and spinach. The Farmer's Market takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 8-1.

  1. I love reading your blog every day. I was wondering....do you have any info on the new English Tea Room that was supposed to open today?

  2. Dear Anonymous- Thanks for the positive feedback! Great question about the tearoom. I was actually thinking of heading over there later today to check it out. I will certainly write something up once I have the full experience. It's pretty exciting when new places open up downtown, isn't it?

  3. I can't wait to hear about the tea room. I love supporting local businesses and I foward your blog to "out-of-towners" every chance I get.

  4. Hi, I just found your blog tonight via a search to find more info on Emelia's. This is great, informative stuff, and fun pictures too!

This is my 4th semester in Siloam, as a married-student at JBU, and I'm still trying to figure things out about the area.
Like...I've heard of Second Saturday once or twice, but don't actually know what it is or how often (every month?). Can you tell me more?
Thanks for the info, I can already tell this will be a fun way to actually find things to do- as I see there's already a lot I had no idea about. Are you a down-town shop owner yourself, or just a happy citizen? I clicked on your name at the side there, but didn't see anything.

Anyway thanks again, and I look forward to hearing more about this little town!
    Happy Week!
